Where it comes from

Educational estimate, not an audit. Diet figures are rounded yearly averages per person. Driving uses about 8.9 kg CO₂ per gallon at 25 mpg. Electricity uses rough grid factors: UK 207, EU 250, US 386, India 710 grams per kWh. Flights are rough round-trip averages (0.25 / 0.8 / 1.6 tonnes). Heating is a typical household amount, not your meter. “Trees” assumes one tree absorbs about 22 kg a year. Benchmarks are approximate.
